I’m so happy your here, my name is Kacey, I’m a surface pattern designer and illustrator living in the Pacific Northwest. I am a wife, mother, an entrepreneur, and art supply hoarder. I love all things art, nature, animals, and anything mystical with a touch of mystery.

My artistic journey began in childhood where I took an art class to fill an elective, and I discovered my new favorite hobby to draw as well as paint. Like most artists I drew my favorite cartoon characters and animals. As I grew older, I took on larger projects learning typography, animal portraits, illustration, and pastels. In this time of artistic exploration, I built my family and in settled into everyday life. I ended up taking a break from my art to be a mother but as I discovered Instagram, I found the wonderful world of surface pattern design and felt inspired to get back to my creativity. So, I got back on the horse and began drawing every day, doing challenges like Inktober and 30-day draws. In the last few years, I have grown my account to feature various works of art finding my current style with ink illustrations. Today I create whimsical, mysterious and wild artwork ready for products, stationary sets, and home decor.

With surface design I like to think of it as a combined artistry not as a single practice, but as several interlocking ones. Brands creating needed innovated products while giving space to artist as myself to enhance their look and feel with art. It improves relationships giving individuals an opportunity to find the perfect gift or missing piece to their space is reward of any project. Aesthetic movements come and go, but I have found these pieces to be timeless.

Working as partners, I strive for honesty and clarity. My first job is to understand the client’s vision and needs. Collaborating in timeless designs, offering versatility. I would love to collaborate with clients who love nature and wildlife as much as I do to complete wonderful projects. Works of art are moments in time; its success is directly related to how well it bring joy and inspires.
